These weather proof reflective solar raised pavement markers (SRPM) have a white reflector on each side with a total of 4 constant white LEDs. Our solar pavement road markers are roadway traffic proven with a 30 ton rolling resistance rating. The physical size of the SRPM complies with the Department of Transportation (DoT) roadway standards. No outside or external wiring is necessary to install it because it uses green based technology and the renewable energy of the sun to power it. The solar road pavement marker automatically turns on at dusk and remains illuminated constantly through the night. These types of products are excellent for increasing roadway safety by serving as a guide for drivers to see the lane division clearly. It functions by charging an internal NiMH battery through a small mono-crystalline solar panel. As the sun sets, the PCB detects that no additional voltage is being generated from the solar panel and instantly turns on the 4 static white LEDs. The lights power off once it begins to detect the sun charging the solar panel again. However, with a full charge, the LED will stay illuminated for over 24 hours. This technology has been used in several different countries around the world with great success. The solar road marker can be set onto the pavement with a Department of Transportation approved epoxy / bituminous material or anchors. In addition to roadway usages, the solar raised pavement markers can be used in biking trails, boats, buoys, desert ranches, docks, fence posts, outdoor walkways, and more. Our retroreflective raised pavement markers are available in internally illuminated unidirectional and bidirectional configurations with different LED and reflector colors including red, white, amber, green, blue, yellow, and a mix of red/white or green/white that can be static or flashing LED.
